Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board of Trustees is composed of five members elected for staggered, three-year terms. The Trustees govern both of the libraries in the Town of Plainfield: the Meriden Library, 22 Bean Road, Meriden, NH 03770 and the Philip Read Memorial Library, 1088 Route 12A, Plainfield, NH 03781. Both libraries are funded by a combination of town appropriations, trust funds, fund raising and gifts. They share an on-line catalog and work cooperatively to provide access to information and materials (both print and nonprint) to people of all ages in the community in order to meet their recreational, informational, and educational needs. For more information see: https://plainfieldlibraries.org
The Library Board of Trustees and the director of both town libraries welcome public comments and suggestions to help improve the services they provide. Contact the Trustees using the email at right or through public comment at their meetings which are advertised below and on the Town Calendar.
