Recreation Department Programs
The Recreation Commission is responsible for developing and administering sports programs for the children of Plainfield in Grades K -4. We offer many programs that focus on having fun, developing healthy recreation habits and teaching skills that can be used for a lifetime.
- Baseball
- Co-ed baseball for grades 3 and 4. Emphasis is on skills development and healthy competition. Games are scheduled with neighboring towns. Normally runs during mid-spring.

- Basketball
- Co-Ed Basketball for grades 1 and 2; boys and girls teams for grades 3 and 4. Emphasis is on skills development and healthy competition. Normally runs during Winter.

- Normally held in late spring.
Location: Blood Brook behind Meriden Deli-Mart
- Soccer
- Boys and Girls Soccer with divisions for Kindergarten, Grades 1&2 and Grades 3&4 . Emphasis is on skills development and healthy competition. Normally runs during fall.

- T-Ball
- Co-ed beginning baseball. Teaches the fundamentals of baseball for Kindergarten thru 2nd grade. Emphasis is on skills development. Normally runs during early summer.
