Trash & Recycling

Plainfield currently contracts with Casella Waste Systems for curbside collection of refuse and zero-sort recycling. All trash put curbside must be properly tagged with a "Plainfield Trash" sticker which can be purchased at the Plainfield Store, Meriden Deli, both libraries and the Town Office. Each sticker used covers the disposal cost of thirty pounds of garbage.

Additional opportunities are available at the Lebanon Recycling Center located at 370 Plainfield Road (Route 12-A) in Lebanon, NH.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Any Zerowaste Recyclables that get wet or snowed on are considered "Trash" and spoils the whole batch and may be put in the Landfill.
  • That all caps & tops should be removed from bottles and containers before recycling? 2 different kinds of plastic, also insures that they are empty.
  • That Plastic caps or tops or anything smaller that 3” in diameter or size is not recyclable.
  • That if you are using disposable face masks that you should cut the ear loops before disposing of them, to keep them from strangling wildlife, like the plastic sixpack holders?
